Personal Development and Anti-Bullying Lead: Miss G Taylor (Assistant Headteacher)
At Leigh St Peter’s CE Primary School, we are committed to creating a culture where bullying is never tolerated. All staff and children are regularly taught how to identify the signs of bullying and understand the importance of reporting any concerns immediately to a trusted adult. Bullying prevention is given a high profile throughout school through our curriculum, assemblies, worship, classroom discussions and awareness events, ensuring that children know how to stay safe and support others. We promote respect, kindness and inclusion, teaching children to value and celebrate the differences that make us unique, including protected characteristics such as age, disability, race, religion, sex and sexual orientation. By encouraging empathy, understanding and positive relationships, we ensure that every child feels valued, respected and able to let their light shine. ✨

At Leigh St Peter’s CE Primary School we work alongside the Anti-Bullying Alliance to lay the foundation for anti-bullying success:
Anti-Bullying Alliance Definition of Bullying:
The repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face-to-face or online.
