UNIFORM POLICY
All children are expected to wear the correct school uniform and look smart and clean. Wearing a uniform gives a child a sense of belonging which is important to developing positive mental health and wellbeing. Being clear on our expectations allows us to make sure we consider safety and cost when setting the uniform standards. Therefore along with the agreed uniform dress we also have other expectations.
We have made the decision to allow PLAIN black trainers as a main shoe option. This is because we are a physically active school and children are encourage to take part in activities at break and dinner. We also complete the daily mile throughout the week. Children in EYFS are allowed to wear grey/black jogging bottoms or leggings instead of trousers or skirts/pinafores, as part of their curriculum is outdoor play.
To keep the costs of a child’s school uniform down we only ask for jumpers to have the school logo on; t-shirts with logos are available from suppliers if parents wish their child to have one of these but there is no expectation for your child to have one. The school skirt and pinafore is an agreed tartan skirt which is avaiable in a range of local uniform shops. In school, we also hold a range of second hand uniform in different sizes if families need support with their child’s unform. Please speak to a member of the Pastoral Team if you would like some support with your chil’ds uniform.
