In 2010 the separate St Peter’s CE Infant and Junior schools became a primary school. This April we finally all moved on to one site. It was a sad time when we packed up the Infant School Site but the new building work and refurbishment of the old part of the junior building has given us a school that is light, spacious and fresh. The new Early Years Unit gives us more opportunities to create different learning areas and experiences to ensure our children achieve their potential in a happy and creative environment.
As a school we believe that every child deserves the best and over the next 7-9 years, while your child is with us, we will work together as a team to help your child become a successful learner and confident, responsible citizen. It is a privilege to be able to play a part in the life of your child and to celebrate special moments with them. We value positive contributions made by parents and know that we can develop a relationship based on mutual respect and trust.
At St Peter’s, Christian Values are given a high priority. Children are encouraged to show kindness, to care for each other and to show respect. Alongside academic progress pupils are also given the opportunity to develop their faith and spirituality. This is a happy vibrant school where all pupils are challenged to see themselves as unique, confident and responsible individuals. They are expected to be constantly improving themselves and their school, reaching out to their neighbourhood and eventually changing their world for the better.
